hey retro, got a quick question for you. I have been looking at how you painted your car with a roller, but I cannot see how you got into the small cracks and crevasse with it. surely the roller is too big for this. Also where abouts did you get your rollers from as I am planning on trying it out shortly?

Another question, where abouts did you get your front end from? And did you have to prep it before painting?

I would imagine you could jammy, but I reckon you would have to keep the paint agitated to stop the metallic settling?

I used a small pure bristle paint brush, or you can use those kiddies foam brushes. I bought the rollers form my local DIY shop, they are High density foam rollers, also known as gloss rollers. My front was bought from ABS motorsport, they supply almost all the fronts out there form other shops too! prep is quite easy, just rub it down with 600-800 grit wet and dry used wet until the fibreglass has a MATT finish and no shine.

Temperature does matter, below 5degrees it will real probs curing apparently, but it will just take longer... my garage saps heat from the house, so i'm fine, I found on HOT summers days it was sandable in the evening if i painted in the morning.
Mettallics can be mixed and rollered, I don't think there'd be a problem as the layers of paint are so thin they don't have anthing to sink into, but you will need the rustoleum laquer otherwise the metal flakes will rust!
