Couldn't manage to upload the photo but it's not oil... it's hammerite baby. Spread in a nice patch all over the drive.

A work of pure genius. My old man is gonna freak, any tips on how to remove it gratefully received!

should just peel off or just white spirit and a wire brush

Thinners may help. You can get special hammerite thinners, or just get a tin of cellulose thinners from a car paint suppliers as its cheaper.

It's ok, panic over. I managed to remove it by using an old skool, probably outlawed drive cleaner containing hydrochloric acid and a wire wheel attachment in a drill! I did get a few funny looks from people though!

It was an absolute nightmare to get off and took ages, but now i'm left with a nice clean patch on the drive. He'll never know :w00t:
