hi
in my mini there is goodmans cd player that came with the car it only costs around £60 but id still like to use it. When i put a cd in it plays for around 5secs then stops and then plays again for about a second then stops all together ive tried a normal cleaner disk in it but it doesnt alter anything the cds i try to play are good quality and have very little scratches.
does anyone have any ideas what the problem is?

Is this only when the car is moving?

does it do the same thing with the radio on intead of cd?

no it also does this when its stationary and its only the cd the radio works perfectly

The CD will draw more power than the radio, so it could be not getting enough juice. Make sure the connections are good and not corroded.

Some CD head units have a master reset button somewhere, if it is an internal glitch then this might fix it.

Get an audio specialist to check that the laser that reads the disc is woking properly, that is a possible reason why the CD does not work and the radio does.
