Hi, Ive been offered a borg and beck new old stock clutch kit at a silly low price, the box is a bit battered but its brand new, would anyone know if it will fit my metro engine, engine code is 12HE72102087 on the box it says borg and beck clutch kit HK 4946 AUSTIN/MORRIS METRO 1000/1300 2/82 on and MG METRO 1.3 2/82 on and METRO VAN 1000/1300 1982 on. Thanks Martin.

I remember borg & beck from years ago. They were a respected make and I fitted many of their clutch kits and don't remember ever having any problems with them.

I can't comment if it's the right kit for your particular engine but from what you've said it certainly looks like it could be the right one...if it's silly money, I'd go for it

I don't know for sure but sounds like it might be a verto clutch. Do you have a verto or non verto clutch (obviously the engine number may assist in telling you how it left the factory but the clutch may have been changed since).

That would be great, Im not sure really how to tell the difference, the clutch disc is 180 mm and has 32 teeth and the starter is an inertia one, also the old pressure plate had straps on it, ive since binned it as it was scrap, so I can fit either type? Sorry, really a triumph man so bit confused, any help in identifying what I have would be great. Cheers Mart. The complete AP clutch kit is £49 posted.

you ll need to Change the flywheel with it, verto and preverto are different.
