Is it possible to change the piping colour on seats?
I've read about various dyes, sprays and paints and wondered if anyone has successfully done it?
To make it easier, I have red piping on black seats, and I want black piping.
Would something as crude as a black sharpie work? Or are there special vinyl type marker pens for this?
Many thanks for any advice! :)

Not worth it at that cost.
I've bought some piping and may have a go myself with sowing machine with a special footer.

There are some vinyl dyes or paints that can be used. Here's a thread of someone doing this to the seat on a bike: http://www.ducatimon...nge-w-pics.html
The results look pretty good.
Frost sell a couple of different products that might do the job: http://www.frost.co....ml-aerosol.html or maybe http://www.frost.co....nt-1-litre.html

I don't want to be fannying about with restitching or detail brushes, this is always going to be too much hard work and they aren't bespoke seats on a rare mini to deem it worthy.
I'm just looking to see if a cheap and cheerful way like vinyl pens or markers have been done before, and anyone with pics?

you could always spray the car to match the piping

Not quite the same, but I did my headliner and door cards using this stuff http://www.vinyldye....ic-Paint-By-TRG
I also used it to do my entire rear seat, plus various pieces of grey carpet that i wanted black (no pics of those though)... its worked a treat on everything! no flaking or rubbing off from anything
