Hi guys does anyone know if it is safe to mount my bucket seats to floor plan using side mounts. I know I'll need plates underneath probley about 3-5mm thick, what would be the best way to do this should I plate each side mount separately or should I join the two back fixings together and the same for the front. Any advice I'd be grateful
Regards
Marc.

I would not have it just attached the the floor as the floor is quite flexy and your seat will move.
First work out where you want it. Do you really want it that low. And that far right.
You mihmneed to lift it a bit or... Then look at some bar/plate to run between sill and tunnel to stiffen the whole floor mounting up.

Thanks for the reply, ok I'm not going to go down the route then as I've already sound deadened the floor and don't want to mess about with it to weld in bars. So what about buying seat runners/subframes and adding a 5mm plate between the runners and the base of the seat (as the seat holes are different to any seat frames I've looked at) would that be another option?.
