hi peeps im after a working starter motor for my little 998 (1981) current one is nearly all toothed out lol.

Is the ring gear badly worn? if so this would cause lots of wear on the new starter bendix

Will have a look into m8 thx for the heads up. When I brought the project I knew it needed sorting haven't taken off myself yet just going from last owners sacred words lol

Is it an inertia type or pre engaged?

Hi mate it is an inertia type for an 998 (81 hl) ;D
