I need your ideas re thoughts.

I'm trying to fit a vacuum gauge to my car. If I use the take off under the carb body just  inboard of butterfly. I get no reading until the accelerator is operated. Would it be best to fit a spacer with vacuum take off? or modify the inlet manifold where vacuum servo would be connected?

Cheers in advance

Either will work fine, though probably the spacer method is the easiest.

As Moke Spider has mentioned either option will work, i have used the spacer on my Hif 44 to fit my vac/gauge, its amazing how much information you can get from the vacuum gauge, a very basic but ingenious  engine diagnostic instrument.

I agree always used one on my old ones. IMO one of the best ways to set up.

Vacuum Gauge if for measuring manifold pressure. It can be used to help tune your engine and help diagnose problems.

Vacuum gauges also help you to drive economically. Simply maintain the highest reading while driving.
