Of course, even if you fold the seats down.

The biggest problem is getting it in and out unless you have a hoist both ends

Well I don't particularly want to put it in the mini and I'm not old enough to hire a van and can't find anyone that will lend me one so had a mate offer his jazz

The typical not quite giving enough info.

So you don't want to put it in the Jazz just move it in a Jazz.

:)

Have done something similar into a Toyota Yaris... If the gearbox is attached you've got yourself a real challenge. Realistically if you don't have a hoist, you're going to need a lot of manpower and some significant protection around the tailgate lip. Like a couple of planks to slide it across the lip... And some strops to lift the engine with... and a lot of thought about how you're going to rotate the engine as needed to get it in, and again, a lot of muscle...

Good luck.

Yes it is to move the engine from one place to another not to power the Jazz

It'll go in a Mini fairly easily in place of a front seat. You could chop up a pallet to make a platform level with the doorstep. Lash and chock it in well. Sure you could do the same if your mate doesn't mind you dismantling his car.

now it's clear you want to transport a mini engine in a honda jazz ...

as above pallets to get the hight , plank to slide across the door step

strip of carpet under the gearbox , pull on the strip to move it -

much more stable than trying to move the engine higher up when it's in the car

a spade is also a good way to drag it on the ground , to get it to the car

use ratchet straps to secure it in the car , not safety belts

fit in passenger side where seat was - if in boot - not on spare wheel , some where it can be clamped with ratchet strap

old blanket to stop grease getting into carpet

remember the engine will have high inertia - so drive smoothly ,
