What are the engine earth strap attachment locations for a '74 mini?

Battery negative to boot floor

Engine block to bulkhead (engine steady to master cylinder plate)

That is correct for later model minis.  For 1974 cars the attachment points are on the gearbox and subframe.  I need to know specifically where on the gearbox and subframe.

Ive had early cars (pre 74) and they have been in the places above.

The only other place ive seen one is between the clutch cover bolts and inner wing, presumed this was additional by a previous owner however?

Interesting.  The minispares website states that it is gearbox/subframe, and when I disassembled my car it was likewise affixed.

Maybe an early manual will show it? Someone here will have a workshop manual or early haynes.

Original BMC workshop manual has the lead attached to clutch cover .. It doesn't state an exact location
