I know that electrical issues are a frequent headache and I am sorry to bring them up again but...

I have a 1993 1275 carb car.

I have looked at all the wiring diagrams that should cover this era, but none seem to reflect the way my car is wired.

I have a single flasher/hazard module behind the dash, also the pink relay for headlamp flash?.

Under the bonnet, two yellow relays LHS and one RHS. 4-fuse fusebox plus a bundle of line fuses behind the air cleaner and more under the dash.

Does anyone have a wiring diagram that reflects this layout? I am having intermittent indicator/hazard problems and would like to get to the bottom of them.

Many thanks.

Hugh.

Your car sounds a bit like mine, kind of an spi without the fuel injection etc aren't they?

The actual hazard switch is a prime suspect if both flashers and hazard are playing up as the switch is where the two circuits become entwined plus the stitches are poop.

Change the hazard switch and both flasher units!

I think that the hazard switch is probably the culprit.

I have removed it, taken it apart and cleaned the guts and will replace it.

If this does not work they are only about 9 quid.

Still looking for a wiring diagram though, any thoughts out there?

Hugh.

Pink relay is dim dip. I would have a quick search on here and bridge it out, you don't need it and it's something less to go wrong.

As Cal seats no specific wiring diagram, even the factory manuals are a little vague on this transission.

This is the wiring diagram for the indicator circuit

661 is main flasher unit

34 is the hazard switch

15 is the indicator switch

27 is secondary flasher unit

F1-2 is first fuse in fuse box.

LF1 is one of the inline fuses which are under the bonnet, usually found close to the wiper motor.

16 & 17 are front bulbs

425 & 424 are side repeaters

57 & 58 are rear bulbs

If you get one of the many CDs that can be found on Ebay you should get the electrical diagram. The Spi era and Mpi era diagrams are split up into smaller flow type, with each sheet showing just one part of the system.

If you are lucky you might find a hard copy of the Mid 1990's workshop manual on Ebay.

Or you could use this

http://www.dries.net...ual - 92-96.pdf

This is the closest workshop manual it is 1993 and covers both carb and SPi models.
