using 1.4 rocker bushes with a mg metro cam

Don't think so.

 

To get 1.4 ratio rockers the pivot point should be closer to the pushrods, and for this you need different rocker posts.

 

Even for offset bushes you really need different posts to get the rocker pads correctly centred over the valve stems and this is under 1.3 ratio.

 

So for 1.4 different posts should be essential, as without them the rocker pads may come too far across the valve stems.
