I'm after a bit of advice. Opinions from experience... I'm fitting a D16z6 engine in my roundnose , looking at either new uprated donuts or coil spring conversion. . Any experiences of either

A lot of people tend to go with the red dot donuts. I have them fitted to mine but its not on the road yet so can't give any experience I'm afraid yet.

How heavy is the engine in comparison to the Mini lump and is it fitted much further forward than standard? Both of these will affect your choices.
In the end unless the engine is very nearly the same weight anything will be a compromise but a red dot cone would likely be a better choice as its got a rising rate which will work better with a heavier lump. The coil spring conversions all are linear in spring rate and can cause you to bottom out the suspension on the bump stops and give unpredictable handling.
