Think I may have a fault in my 65dm4 (42535A) on '92 1293 engine so thought I'd try and pick up a used one. So if anyone has one of these that work then I be grateful; at a good price preferably. Not sure it needs to be the exact same Lucas number as I only want it to 'prove' mine.
Alternatively has anyone a spare I could borrow for a week or so. I'll pay postage etc each way.
The fault I have is apparent on gentle deceleration and also just trying to hold a slow speed. There is almost a 'hunting' misfire. It's noticeable on tickover as well. Just misfires irregularly.
Just fitted a new Lucas DBL198 which made no difference. I'm running a HIF44 BDL needle, yellow spring, modded dashpot piston and just done a rebuild of it. Oh, and an MG Metro Cam with tappets at 15thou. Standard 12g940 head.
