On my Clubman I have it came with a nice set of Lucas LR6's but both sealed units had blown, bit of searching and the sealed units are hard to find and when you do they're expensive, so thought would try the Wipac 5 1/2" fog light unit in these Lucas and they fit at a fraction of the cost of one sealed unit link below. By look of it the Lucas LR6 and FT6 lamps are the same 5 1/2" unit just different style sealed units. If anyone else has any other sugestions please post.

Only down side is you end up with Wipac on the lens instead of Lucas, so if originality is needed the the perfect solution, but if you've got some old units with blown bulbs and want to use them without the expense then ideal. Wipac also do 5 1/2" driving lamps as well so if anyone tries or has tried them please post, these are even cheaper than the fog lights.

First lets look at the sealed bulb next to wipac unit and the sealed bulb has a lip all way around the wipac a lip top and bottom, but the lucas locking ring still clips on this.

Will need an earth lead taking off the rear.

Then the backing unit needs cleaning up, and as the wipac unit is a little thinner than lucas one, a bit of sealing/insulation tape will be need around it, I used 5mm x 15mm.

Pop locking ring back on and a working unit.
