I Havent done any research in this matter, but I wonder how we can keep improving our brakes when a 8.4 set could lock up 13 inch slicks :)

 but there are slicks and slicks.

 

we could not lock ours up but we could get the rear wheels off the ground. 10.5 discs with KAD 6 pots. I can also get the rear wheels off the ground on mine with 8.4 and minispares 4 pots.  but these are soft sprint/Hill climb compound not a circuit slick which are very hard in comparison.

yep,

 

theres a point where you get to heat management, and umm is modulation the right word.

modulation is a very good word and is something the early Hayes MTB disc brakes did not have. they were very digital On or off.
