Hey, so after two weeks of owning it, I've come across my Mini's first problem...My wipers up until now have worked perfectly. Today it was raining, nothing too intense but enough to distort my view with no wipers...so I flicked them on and all was good. 2 minutes later, nothing. I couldn't see enough to drive without them so I stopped and had a look. It seemed as if they had almost over wiped and were below the windscreen seal? I turned them on and off repeatedly, but still nothing. I could hear the motor slightly whining as if they were stuck, there was nothing obstructing them as far as I could see. I've yet to check under the bonnet as I was supposed to be on my way to work.

Any ideas?

I'm not the most mechanically savvy person so the simpler the better!

Cheers.

Mine is purple, but I have been told that's normal

I'd try taking the rack out, removing all the old horrible hard grease and re-greasing it.

Also make sure the wheel boxes are free.

If the motor is trying to turn then I would look at the spindles to see if they are seized up in housings.
