It does seem that a lot of more mainstream content has to include an element of saying, or doing, stupid things when the presenter should know better. Perhaps it's so that the target audience doesn't feel too intimidated by the complex operation of putting the bonnet stay in the correct position and boycotts his Gin.

It could also be cunning clickbait, knowing the likes of us won't be able to resist spreading it all over the interweb when picking fault.
