290 mph

1,627bhp and 1,500Nm of torque

hybrid  8.0-litre W16 engine.

& yes an old mini is prettier

I did see a sport veyron on the M20 towards the M26 about 2 in the morning a few years back , easily 150+ mph

was orange & black , had UV / special lighting of some sort , the signs lit up miles ahead & road markings glowed

Maybe it's just be, but I think that is a great looking car. It just looks like a beast!

Probably had LED headlamps they are pretty good at lighting up the road. BMW have intelligent LED headlamps that create a shadow spot for cars in front you and for on going traffic, allowing you to keep your main beam on... This video explains it (skip to 1min 10sec)
https://m.youtube.co...h?v=ordX8_CYwK0

They also have laser lights, which give you far greater light coverage.

I was at the fiming for the Top Gear when they finally got the veyron on the track, another 600 bhp? Awesome! It's for cars like this that I will miss TG.

Did you see this about TG??

http://www.dailymail...f-quitting.html

Doesn't sound too promising if none of the production staff know diddly squat about cars lol

But does look like DC will be the new Stig and Chris will co hosts will be Sabine Schmitz and Chris Harris
But then again it is the Daily Mail reporting this so is probably utter rubbish

I think it will go more like Fifthgear.

Topgear was all about hyper cars and smokey drifting with silly challenges. Entertaining and very samey after numerous series. Whereas Fifthgear was a more about everyday cars and again some silly challenges.
I think Topgear will be toned down but not to the same level as Fifthgear

I have to say, Chris Harris for me is easily the best automotive journilist going at the moment, very enthusiastic, knows how to drive, how to talk technically without being over bearing and I think will do very well on Top-Gear... as long as he's allowed his pieces the way he has previously done "Chris Harris on Cars"

Not sure how the banter (hate that word...) between them will fair though, they clearly havent had the years built up between them.

I don't know much about Chris Evens, the times I have seen him on TFI he just seems like a forced energetic twit.

As for Sabine, knows how to drive clearly, as an every day presenter? I've no idea.

As for the Butatti... The Veyrons not exactly a looker... It does what it does well. Kinda just seems like willy waving throwing extra power at it for a higher top speed. Even in Germany, it's not needed.

 BMW have intelligent LED headlamps....

It's a shame they don't come up with 'intelligent' indicators to replace the non existent ones currently being fitted.

so you have the working set of BMW indicators - it must be another drivers turn by now -

- share them around

I don't think they need them, I just presume that a BMW will go from the 3rd lane to the slip road at the last moment and ones in a turn left or right only lane are going straight on, I'm normally right and just when you think "jeez he's cutting that tight!" an Audi will follow it,lol.

If it does end up looking like that, the I think it has to be one of the best looking cars since the F40.
