As titled my 1275 spi engine and harness was not together when I purchased the car I have two separate wires with spade connectors on them as pictured which one or both ? Is for the oil sensor. The sensor fitted has a single spade connection assuming only one wire needed but after a quick Google images it shows spi engines having a twin connection sensor with a factory plug. Do you think that some has replaced my sensor and thus cut the factory plug of ? I need to k ow where or what these wires are for?.
20160111_062855.jpg also lurking to the left of these wires are two I think green wires with bullet connectors on don't know what these are for either ?

Sorry but colours are not very clear in your pic.

If brown-white then goes to the oil pressure sender

The 2 pin connector..what colour are they? Looks like an indicator/hazard wiring

Brown/yellow goes to the single spade connector, yes.

Red/Purple i dont know maybe some aux + feed..will have a look through the wiring diagram

Do the indicators work?

If the other wire is Red/White instead, it is suppose to be instrument illumination, right side and rear lights.  It would be fed by 15 A inline fuse, Red in and Red/White out.

White/brown is your oil pressure warning switch.

The other wire is red purple (looks like red pink to me)? Could be your bonnet switch for the alarm.

Bullet connectors will more than likely be indicators

It's easier just to use the genuine rover wiring diagrams that are freely available on this forum to download.
