Hi There

Had the mini that I hope to restore started the other day but then what looks like a Diaphragm on the fuel rail started spraying out fuel as though it had burst.

Luckily managed to get it shut of before anything drastic happened as it went over Exhaust and Engine.

Can this Diaphragm be repaired or replaced seperately and if so can anyone help as to where I can either source parts or a new Diaphragm. Haven't tried to strip it down as yet ,just trying to gather any help or information first.

                          Thanks John

On an MPi? Are you talking about the pressure regulator?

Hi Steve

That's the one it has a vacuum hose attached to the top of it ?  Sorry about the poor description.

                      Thanks Jock :shy:

Hi Chaps Just a few things I noticed today maybe already common Knowledge. Sorry if it is,

I had to visit scrapyard today to source the bottom plastic housing for the Idle Air Control valve, that from a previous post I had found out was the same as an early Rover 200.

Managed to get the housing but when looking around the scrap 200 found that the Fuel Pump relay unit was very similar to my Mini ,not sure if anyone can confirm the Id number on bottom TRW  YWB100970 18W. Also but still to check further it looked like the Fuel Pressure Regulator on the fuel rail looks the same and looks like it can be split for inspection possible repair by removing clip to split.

Sorry again if this is common facts, but thought I would mention.

                                                                                  Cheers Jock

You're not supposed to split them, they're sealed units. Or do you mean the rubber seal?

The MPi relay pack is the same amongst mk3 rover 200's, MGF/TF, 45/ZS.

Hi Steve

Not split mine yet but looks as though it may be the Rubber seal that has blown below it . I take it this could be replaced then bud.

Sorry about going over old ground with the Relay unit and other bits.

                                 Cheers Jock

Hi chaps

Have split the Fuel Pressure Regulator from the Fuel Rail and it is the seals that have gone and not the regulator.

Does anyone know where I can buy Equivalent seals or is it a case of maybe matching a couple of 'O' Rings up to these.

                                Cheers Jock.
