Hi all I was wondering if any of you guys would no the answer. I have a June 1964 Austin mini 850 that I will get round to starting one day however I was wondering which front panel it should have I am really hoping that the full skirt front panel would be correct.

Am I right in thinking that the full skirt front panel didn't change until Sep 64 so mine would have had one fitted originally?

Cheers Guys

I don't think they make the full skirt front panel now you would have to buy the  end pieces and weld them in.

Yes m machine sell a reworked panel to mk1 spec, only thing is the indicator plinths are incorrect but they also sell these if you want to weld them in to make correct, if you don't mind the work they also sell the end pieces to convert a standard panel to full skirt which is what I did, there is other things that need changing but nothing too difficult.

The correct indicator plinth is size of early glass indicator whereas later one suits the plastic ones, it is larger in diameter so when you fit the correct early indicator there is a flat area around it, I never changed ones on my mk1 but will do on my current mk2 project. Depends how fussy you are really as most don't notice this

Think they are about £8 each, will do them on my mk2 as not difficult to do.
