After spending countless hours trying to stick a saxo engine into a modified mini subframe I'm needing some advice off some more experienced engine converters.
Basically just want everyone's opinion on whether I'm wasting my time and to point me in the right direction to any mistakes or problems I may encounter in the pictures below.
In other words does it look like its gonna actually work once finished.

Anythings possible mate ! Also using different engines stand out more from the usual conversions everyone does. Just mock it all up first make sure everything fits and is in line. Looks good so far :)

Don't happen to have any pics of your gear linkage setup do you or any pics for that matter.
I've got the two top linkages installed but the steering rack gets in the way of the bottom linkage, I think this just stabilises the selector rod so was gonna move the ball and make a bracket closer to the selector and Re weld ball, hopefully that will work.

Also has the 106 rallye engine got a alloy or cast iron block.

Bit hard to tell from the shots but are your driveshafts lined up as well as they can be?

Frame looks nice....with the frame almost done you can see the finish line.

I've tried to get them in the best position as far back as possible but the subframe tower get in the way of the gearbox going any further back, also the gear linkages prevent this also.

Nothing wrong with a micra engine. Good power good economy and cheap to fix. Also an easy fit under a mini
