I have recently noticed that my rear wheels on my clubman estate seem to have alot of toe-in. It currently has 10" wheels with 145/80 tyres fitted. The gap between the front of the rear wheel and the radius arm is approx. 10mm. Now to me this seems a bit close :'( especially as i plan to fit larger wheels soon. It is actually notacible when just standing next to it :D

I have checked the underneath and the car does show signs of slight rear end damage that has been repaired proffesionally. I'm pretty sure that the rear subframe has not be replaced recently and the tyre wear seems even across the tyre.

Does anyone have any surgestions as to the possible cause of this and any recomendations for fixing it?

Id get hold of some dimensions and be checking everything is as it should be.

What about wear in the radius arm bushes? Although there isnt normally much clearance.. but 10mm does seem a little short.

unless it is damaged i can't see why there would be problem and there are no adjustable parts on the rear subframe as standard.

I originally thought that mine had a bit of toe in at the rear (oohh nurse!!) and i'm running 10s too but i've recently had my subframe changed and it looks the same. I can only conclude that this is how they look because of the shape of the bodywork etc.
