I put the mini in for its test on friday,,it failed,,longer studs on the front wheels required,,one of the tie rod nuts came loose at the subframe both these easy fixed, the other fail was headlights he sais he could not see a definable pattern, the guy who tried to set the lights said this as well even after changing the bulbs, these are new angel eye headlights I suggested changing them back to the old sealed units for the test ,,he said they were worst, anyone else have this problem got a solution, cheers.

Are they "E" marked Angel eyes? I've seen some non E marked ones, and they will fail a MOT. :D

Not sure I understand your specific problem (not sure I understand anything these days) but Huey would have failed on this point (no definable pattern) because the reflective silverwork was breaking up here

so we changed them for crystals.

Cheep and pants lenses.

A 'complex' (clear, no ribs)lense is not cheep. Fit standard lenses and change em out after.

Angel eye lenses are not e aproved, but then that depends on the age of the car too.

poor beam patterns says it all about these lights, all show and no go

i have angel eyes on mine and they passed, other parts of the mini dint but thats neither here nor there lol. I was told as long as the pattern is the same it dint matter if they were angel eyes or not.
