Hi all, my name is Steve and I'm from Fife, Scotland. Just bought my wife a minted 2004 cooper, 66,000 miles on clock.
We have become instantly mini fanatics and we have been trying to educate ourselves about them. There's a lot of varied advise and opinions about them but I have came across a lot of common problems to expect.
Luckily our cooper comes with a full service history and receipts for all work done and not a lot that relates to the common faults, however one of the recommendations from a forum is that the water pump should be replaced every 40/50,000 miles.
Had a good price from my local garage but I am still undecided wether this is necessary. I'm looking for any advise on this issue as I am a believer of if its not broken leave it alone.
Any advise would be welcome.

Hi Steve,

Welcome to TMF. Our site is more catered for classic minis, although we have a few members who will have the bmw mini who may be able to help but it may be more useful for you if you have a look at mini2.com which is more for the bmw minis.

Good luck
