I'm in need of a replacement fuel tank and came across a stock appearing alloy one that I haven't seen before.  My concerns are rust and the garbage ethanol in american fuel that will eat away regular steel tanks over time.

Does anyone have knowledge of it?

Wow, not exactly low cost is it!
A lot of money to save a bit of weight.

I don't think he's looking to save weight; his concerns are based around the corrosion of his steel tank but aluminium doesn't like ethanol either

Steel tanks are not known for corroding through and are likely to last longer than aluminium ones.

It's a lot cheaper to change a steel tank (good used ones are about £20 each - I have several 5.5 gallon ones).

If you want to prevent your fuel tank from rusting inside you want to coat it. House of kolor sell an amazing product for this

Used tanks in good condition are little harder to find over here ;)

I just don't want to ever have gasoline leaking in the boot again.

I have to look into that product, thanks!
