Hello Guys,

 

I've been trying to help a friend who has built a website on Wix... enough said.

 

He has username and password and a ftp link.

 

But we can't seem to even get into it so we can change DNS etc....

 

Can anyone shed any light?

123reg or on wix itself?

my first advice would be sod wix off and go to one.com and use wordpress :) just as easy and more freedom.

The DNS you'd change with the company who you bought the domain name off to point it at the nameservers wix provide.

 

Or you could just point your domain using 301 or 302 to whatever the wix address is.

Hi Guys, thanks for the help!

 

Unfortunately it seems that the website has already been made on wix and I'm only trying to help and get the domain connected up.

 

All I have is:

 

Host: ftp.hosts.co.uk

Host directory: /web/

 

and a Username and Password.

 

How do I get it to connect? Really confused?

Where was the domain purchased?

 

You will need to goto the domain provider and change the DNS Name Servers to those provided by WIX.

 

If you dont have them, contact wix to provide them. Usually look like ns1.domain.co.uk and ns2.domain.co.uk
