I changed the rocker cover on my 1275 sprite today and thought that the rockers looked a bit different from standard. Can anyone tell from the pics if they are standard or if they have been upgraded?

Also the heater hose, going to the heater from the inlet manifold is very messy. Could anyone post pics or advice on how theirs is set up so I can sort it out, Cheers

The rockers look pretty standard to me.

Few people have their inlet manifolds heated anyway. If the messy hosing is really bothering you ditch it and run it normally

here's how mine is run, looks a similar hose setup, although mine's a 998

although your heater take off on your head is blocked up... :( where does the hose on the right of the inlet manifold (as you look at it) come from?

I'm sure a pro will be along soon to give you some proper help! ;D

IMHO, if an alloy manifold has the option to heat it then it should be heated. There's many reasons for this which have been discussed many times but ultimately it boils down to reliability and economy. Get yourself some 5/8" (16mm, well 15.8mm really but 16 will do) heater hose from Halfords, a metre will do. You can then sort out the hose routes properly. The problem is that whoever fitted the manifold has tried to use the standard hoses but these are obviously designed to run the standard route. I'd replace both sides of the manifold with new and run them a nice route with gentle curves where you can. That should sort it.

As for the rockers in the HUGE photos, yup they're normal bog standard. What looks odd about them to you?

Cheers for the advice guys, this is my first mini so i'm picking things up as I go along. About the rockers, I vaguely remember working on a mini about three years ago during my work experience and thought that these rockers looked a little beefier, but it was almost definately due to my fuzzy memory lol.

As for the heater hose on the right of the manifold, that runs to thermostat. I'm going to get some new hose and refit it all properly as Dan suggests, cheers for the help guys.
