hello,
My names Doug, and im a mini-a-holic. ;D 22, Living in Royal oak, auckland, New Zealand.
I recently purchased a 73 morris mini one thousand, and had a few great weeks of hooning around in it before she clapped out on me. i have managed to put off repairs for a while as mum was kind enough to lend me her gts25 skyline. But now its time to get to the nitty gritty and fix my mini.
well thats me, look forward to getting to know some of you.

p.s
anyone know a mini club based in auckland?

Welcome to the forum buddy.

Good luck with sorting out your mini. Although no mini is ever finished, there always seems to be a list of jobs to be getting on with!

HI there!

Don't blame you for taking your time to fix the mini if you had a skyline to drive LOL!

Enjoy the site.

Welcome to tmf.

anyone know a mini club based in auckland?

Here's one :(
This one is a bit farther away and still under construction but there's a contact number ;D
You could pop down and see Mrs Teapot's Aunty Pam and Uncle Tommy in Levin but they haven't got a mini :dontgetit: Tell them to get one

wow! what a response!
glad to be a part of the crowd, and thanks for all the encouragement.
Im in full agreement about the AB's, i was born in africa so i delight in watching the boks walk all over em.
i like the skyline, but alas it was stolen once upon a time and now just isnt the same to drive. some goblin in the electrics governing the cruise/power feature (its an auto). also it eats way to much fuel.
the mini is more me!
had my first poke under the bonnet today, trying to figure out wny the temp gauge on the dash isnt working. i took out the thermostat (between engine and top radiator hose) and gave it a bit of a clean as it had alot of residual rust on it. and noticed the rubber seal around the housing is quite badly cracked. how does the thermostat connect to the gauge? i didnt notice any cables coming from the housing..
probably no the right thread to be asking in, but gimme a break im newbie :D

who is teapot?
