Was driving back to work yesterday and saw a nice looking camper coming the other way. Was thinking to myself, maybe i should give him a wave and before i had time to think about it he had hung out of his window with the big thumbs up!! :(

Made me smile all the way back! The only thing was i was so surprised that i wasn't quick enough acknowledging him. :'( Just hope he didn't think i was snubbing him!

By the same token, a bit further down the road i came accross a racing green and when i stuck my arm out of the window to give a wave the young lad driving just looked at me bewildered!! :dontgetit: on the plus side his Mrs gave me a smile though!

So i am now advocating waving at VeeDub's!! (Not Golf's and Lupo's!!) ;D What do you all think?

Some people in other makes of classic car are a bit elitist but IMHO a smile and a wave can't do any harm. I like Sprites, Midgets, Spitfires, Austin 7s, Imps, all the small and mid-sized older cars, but I wouldn't bother with a Bentley or that ilk. Oh and those little old grey tractors are mint, I like those. Oh and fit birds in anything oops Mrs Teapot is about ;D

*Edit* This will be moved in a minute

Yeh wave at the Camper vans! There's a VeeDub nut who lives close to me, he has a few beetles and vans, and one of those VeeDubs used in the army, forget what they're called. He's put chromies on it! :( I also like Mk1 Golfs alot, specially lowered with deep dish alloys *Dr00ls!*

Hopefully next time you'll get chance to wave! OR a happy beep? :dontgetit:

thought i twas pretty good and worth a mention because campers and beetles are cool! ;D

i agree teapot, old british sports cars are pretty sweet too, but a lot of the ones round by me are owned by old fellas who wouldn't understand and they tend to be a bit elitist like you said. it's mainly the young laid back lads who drive the cool classics and tend to wave.

gives you a nice warm feeling and makes you smile though don't it! certainly brightens up my day!

VeeDubya Vans have to be the split screen ones. theres a series on Discovery Real Time(or at least I think it is) about a guy refurbishing one.
