Hello everybody!! So the Minis in the garage for the winter, and Id like to tackle one of the problems it was having before I stowed it away. If you saw my previous posts, I was having problems with my Mini not starting. It ended up being a bad starter that was severely worn down. So I took the starter out and got it professionally rebuilt. After reinstalling it and putting everything back together the car started up great and I haven't had any problems since - except one. The car drives fine and doesnt slip in 1st or 2nd gear, but once I get to 3rd and 4th, anything more than a quarter throttle and the clutch slips. Its really frustrating especially when youre trying to pull out of tight twisty corners or get up to speed on the highway. Could something have gotten on the clutch while I was replacing the starter? I really hope I dont have to replace the clutch because thats more than I want to do this winter!! Any help is appreciated. Thank you!!
