hey i would like to change my centere spedo because i hate it, i was woundering how much it would cost and is it a easy job to do?
I want to change my dash to a evo 3 and have seperate speedo oil, temperature gauge and all that, but all i have in my car is a centere speedo i have no oil pressure temperature gauge or anything like that? so how hard will it be to put there in ?

Not an issue, get the dials you want and wire them up, the only thing which may have to change which'll give you an afternoon of dirty arms is the speedo cable...

I love the central speedo myself and surely fitting the oval Cooper style pod/surround would be easier as you'd then have the water temperature and oil pressure gauges each side too and it'd finish it off nicely!

Well i've actually got an old Mini 1000 oval style surround pod (without speedo) kicking around in my garage. It has the 2 Smiths water temperature and oil pressure gauges fitted, but the backs are slightly rusty and the wirings been cut.
I bought the oval style surround pod from the MCR event @ Beaulieu many moons ago, but I never got around to fitting it to my old Mini City E.
Anyway I do know all you have to do is wire the clock up to the senders provided for the oil pressure and water temperature, I believe you just need to get a banjo fitting? Plus get it wired up correctly and the wires run through the little plastic blanking grommet on the side of your speedo housing.
I guess the water/oil gauges will also need a feed for their lights too?
But yes it's not rocket science and if you wanted to go the retro Cooper look, then fitting and wiring the extra clocks up would be very straight forward, even easier and cheaper than bunging in a 1275GT/later Cooper style clocks anyway?
