I am having some bother with my master cylinder at the moment and I have been offered a full servo set-up at the right money. My question is can I fit this to a Mini with drum brakes all round? It is currently fitted with the dual master cylinder.

I remember working on a car back in the 90's which had a late model servo kit on drums.  It was a nice drive but a servo doesn't improve the braking efficiency

My first mini which was a 74 mk 3 with drums all round I servoed whilst I was hunting around for a Cooper S set up. It was overkill really although it did have a bit of that 'modern car feel'. If you've got the bits then go for it. If you don't like it then you can always keep your eyes out for a set of discs!

My '64 rally mini had drums and faded quickly so I fitted harder linings and a servo (fitted under passenger side dashboard). Greatly improved the braking; don't forget back then there were no disc brake conversions and only cooper and cooper s had them as original equipment.

If you have the bits then try it.

Cheers guys, as it turns out I've been able to track down an original green band cylinder so gonna stick with this.
