Wheel Identification Help

Hi guys!

 

i know these are mk2 cosmics but its the width that is complexing me;

if these measure rim to rim 7" they can only be the 6J wheels;

the bit that complex's me, is that they fit really wheel and really flush for 6x10's;

which I'm assuming are these on the wheel dictionary site?

my old 6x10's on the 72 clubman were much wider. i know this is to do with offset, but is this correct? no stamps either, hmm i also found 4.5's which is where i thought the offset was more like to be honest but don't measure anything near 4.5?

Any thoughts on this would be great.

 

I've just come to the conclusion that they are 6x10's and the offset differed in the two different styles even though the sizes were the same? but ide like to know what everyone else thinks.

As you sumised at the end they are 6" don't forget you measure between the faces not over them.

Also look for makes on the inside.

Also have a go at measuring the offset.

As you sumised at the end they are 6" don't forget you measure between the faces not over them.

Also look for makes on the inside.

Also have a go at measuring the offset.

 

i didn't actually take that picture it was the guy who sold them to me :P

but i knew that when he sent them to me :) as 10x7 cosmics don't exist. I've only known of 4.5J, 5J and 6J

 

there is no stamps nothing on the inside, there now at the powder coating place to get sand blasted and coated so i can't but i will don't when they get back :)

Don't forget the J is nothing to do with the width. Just the rim profile for the bead.

yea i know its the shape just always said it like that, god knows why as it actually is joules lol

i guess its because everyone thinks that J 'means inches and I haven't got to type inches out or " ....ahahah talk about lazy eh!

Looking at your thread you have flat drums on the front. This means your track is about 1" narrower per side compared to discs or spacer drums...

are the wheels on a mini inset on the back a little more than the front do you know?

Thicked is what you need !  not finned ;-)  don't forget the longer studs to suit and the longer drum fixing screws.
