Hello everyone,
Tomorrow is going to be my first attempt at fitting any kind of seats...if the weather allows. I'm having a go at it, 'cause, might as well right? I'm going to be removing two bucket seats that have been screwed into the floor of the mini and sit on a sliding, tilted sub-frame, the bolts/nuts come out underneath and are exposed to the elements. (If I get any tech terms wrong, sorry!)
As far as I'm aware, the Mary Quant seats are going to just need hinges? As they're the old type of mini seats that pull forward to allow passengers to jump in the back. What type of hinge do I need and am I'm going to have to drill into the crossbar 'thingie' that is underneath the seats?
Also, is it possible to use a sub-frame of some kind for these Mary Quant seats? 'Cause I'm a shorty, and want to be as close as possible to the pedals, 'cause as it stands... at the moment, with the slanted bucket seats, only the tips of my toes reach the pedals. (¬_¬)
Many thanks to anyone who has the patience to answer my questions! lol
PS: If pictures are needed, I can do that tomorrow. (
