Guys

I'm running a 03 R1 engine in my mini project.

Due to the obvious psychics of cornering etc I have fitted a sump oil baffle plate and removed the oil level light in the process. Now to combat the oil level light removal I have plumbed in an oil pressure gauge into the oil cooler.

My question is what pressures should I be getting?

Has anyone else done this??

I'm having it sit idling and getting 30psi then on revs it's going up past 150psi!?!?(might be a faulty reading)

I'm sure I read that R1 pressure relief was 70 ish PSI


What should the pressures be? Thanks

Cannot help you on an R1, but a BMW boxer engine I fitted up reads pretty much the same as a Mini with 80psi cold and 65-70 when hot.
