So I solved the oil leak from the gear linkage, but I've noticed oil around the rocker cover and around the lip further down where the head gasket would be. There is also oil all down the block at the back and on the right side by the timing cover. More on the gearbox and more on the drive shaft. Anyone have any ideas of where it could be, I'm thinking rocker cover but also timing cover gasket?

rocker cover is common and usually due to over tightening,  when fitting new gasket sealant can be applied to upper face and a little wipe of grease on lower. Just nip it up and should be good.

It's a mini. It leaks.

And yes it'll be rocker cover gasket.

If there's no oil leak, it means it's all run out.

Start by replacing the cork gasket on rocker cover, apply a smear of gasket sealant on rocker cover side and stick it to the rocker cover. Let it set for five minutes before refitting, this will help to stop it moving about when fitting and ensuring it's not twisted.

Although not a pleasant job, you need to degrease the engine to see where the oil leak is coming from.

I do something similar, but actually fit it lightly just to hold the cork in place and get a good bond to the rocker cover.
