Hi there,

Since the last post i made about minis, i have purchased my first car, a 1998 cooper and was looking to replace the wheels that come with it (stock rose petals i believe). I would ideally want to go for deep dish wheels as i think they look great but i was wondering which of the wheel diameters is best as i can understand that the smaller wheels may handle better but do they just get dwarfed by the wheel arches, i don't mind too much about how it drives but if it looks good then that what is matters to me. The ideal is a car that some of you may have seen in mini magazine a couple of weeks back, a z-cars white mini but obviously skipping the performance upgrades!

Thanks!

10 * 6, and lower the car a little bit using adjusta ride, if required. :shades:

"But if it looks good then that what is matters to me."

But it really can put you off driving the car some times.

Are they worth it? too me they just look a bit too small, if not slightly comical...

post a pic of your car will help :)

IMO 10x6 look amazing under sports pack arches if your car has them - either way - 10x6 are the way forward

Looks good as it is, They're sports pack wheels and arches. I would stay with them, or either go for some 13" mambas (add wheels into the search when searching for them...) or some 12" banded steels.

You'll need a brake conversion if you go below 12" wheels on a 98' model.

unless you can get a set of the 10" mini speed? wheels which I think are the above ones which will fit but aren't made anymore.

Yes exactly, they have built in spacers to clear the brakes.

For those specific wheels, maybe. But generically for 10's the OP will need smaller brakes.

Yes sorry that's what I meant. 10" wheels won't fit on 8.4" disc brakes.
