Ok so I did a brake conversion so I could put 10's on my clubby, swapped them over fine, when it came to bleeding having some issues Im using the gunson ezibleed, and Im getting fluid bleeding out the drivers side but nothing on passenger side, I thought maybe I needed to tighten everything up but then I ended up with fluid coming back out the top, any suggestions want to get on it tomorrow

Check the bleed nipple to start with to make sure its actually clear. have a look into where it screws in as well. With the flexi pipe off are you getting any fluid out??

Are the bleed nipples on top?

With your gunson eezi bleed you only need about 10psi, I got a regulator and fitted it to mine so as to use a fully inflated tyre or in my case direct off the airline.

Reread it and it seems for sure that you must have a blockage, see what happens if you remove the passenger side bleed screw first as that is easier than disconeccting the hose, then move up or (not down) the system.

If you move down the system you will in all probability get fluid at every joint, this is a messy way of doing it, so moving UP the line you will only get one leakage before you find the blockage/fault

ok so I managed to look at a few things before rain stopped play, the bleed nipple on passenger side is fine, as is the brake hose, when I undid the hose at the caliper end some fluid dripped out so its getting there just about, I did notice an air leak on the brake union where the brake light switch goes, you have to seriously tighten it to get it to stop, i thought at first it was bent but after looking on mini spares it seems they are supposed to be like that, could it be that the air leak was stopping the pressure being enough to push the fluid round, and then when I tightened it the air was going in too quick and thus the fluid came back out the top? surely the brake union shouldnt have to be tightened within an inch of its life to get it air tight?

Air in a hydraulic system can do strange things especially if its not a self bleeding system. Now its possible its this but it could also be the caliper at fault. Its not unheard of to have had a poor casting causing issues. Hopefully its not this.

Did you use the original flexi hoses by the way?? It is possible that they have broken down internally not allowing fluid to fully pass through. Again not unheard of.

brand new braided hoses, do u think its worth replacing the union by brake light switch?

Ahh a penny may have dropped here. You do know the hoses differ from side to side in thread length. It could be you have bottomed out here.

You need to compare them visually i believe, now either i got lucky or i ended up doing what you did which was to really tighten into the switch housing. I can remember one being really hard to do.

Now the car is fully stripped i will check which is which before i put it all back together again.

I think you refer to the switch in the subframe ? if so then it was fitted on the RHS, (always as viewed from the drivers seat)

Sonikk you are a genius I had the hoses on the wrong side, the side for the switch has a deeper inner thread, swapped them over no more air leak, getting fluid from both calipers now, the passenger side still not churning out like the drivers side but fluid and air bubbles were present is it normal to have less pressure/fluid on passenger side? I'm going to bleed all round again just to be sure but progress! Thanks muchly

and also thanks to everyone else who has chipped in much appreciated
