Hi all in mini land. the time has come to think about selling my wife's mini

If it has to go it would have 12 mouths MOT. It is a mini 40 limited edition with 84K miles on the clock. It would come with the Tin box

As it stands, it has a lot of rust in all the usual Mini places and a crack in the windscreen.  In your opinion as Mini folks, what do you think the difference would be between what it would fetch in it's current state of repair and what it would fetch if we fixed up the bodywork?  Also, what difference would it make to an asking price if we were to return the roof to it's original colour and remove the bonnet stripes?  It is a good runner and would be usable from the point of sale but it needs some attention on the exterior.  Any guidance would be appreciated.

In this case please give us a clue what you would be happy to get for it. This will help us to help you with guidance on repairs etc.

Probably not too helpfull I know but expect the car to need substantially more work than you can see from the outside. The work in a bodyshop may well run into many thousands.
The car as it stands still has some good value but we just need to know a little more...

Any crunch in gear changes etc etc?

Gearbox is good, had it done by Guess works. I am hoping the front end is only surface rust(ever hopeful), as it was given a new door skins, wings & front valance in 2011. It looks to me like they removed the back under coating and didn't etch primer afterwords.  :ohno:

Wish I hadn't looked ! Boot looks OK both outer sills have had one patch each. The drivers floor, front could do with replacing.  :(

Looks like they've filled between the wing and scuttle which has caused cracking and water ingress. I'd be very surprised if that was just surface. Front is a little low so would say the donuts need replacing, and is it just me or are the front grill lights a various mix?
