Hi all , I'm a newbee to this site , just got my hands on a southern electricity van 1980 , brought from the company in 1982 , been stood for 16 yrs with handbrake on , dry stored so surprisingly good condition , was after advice on how to see if engine any good , what dos and donts really on try to start her , il get some piccys on Asap , cheers all

Wow sounds like an awesome build!

 

I would say keep it as original as you possibly can this would be a great peice of history to own and will gather some good value over the years,

 

I would start with a strip down and see whats good etc then get the shell and sorted.

 

There is a variants build thread section here, would be great to see some pics as you go :)
