just phoned Adrian flux and he basically ended up saying that they OWN HIC and he cant quote against themselves, and that my quote is so high because i have had no experience of driving fast cars!!!
also because i have had mini on a classice car policy i dont build up any no claims bonus and that also makes it sky high.
have the rest of you guys had problems getting good quotes or did you just go straight to sureterm

to be honest, before I drove the car I bemoaned paying £450. But now I think it's bloody good value!!!!
It was a relief to finally speak to someone who knew what a Z-cars mini was. Most companies kept you hanging on the phone for ages while "they talked to their underwriters" only to come back 10 minutes later to tell you they can't insure you 'because your pet hamster died on a leap year once.
At least the guy at Adrian Flux that I spoke to seemed to have a slightly higher intelligence than your average retarded amoeba. Now look, you've got me started about insurance companies.............

I like flux, because all my previous polices have come with 60 days free euro cover and a years uk recovery with 30days euro recovery -perfect for ring trips! I think mine is about £450. When i changed it over, i was 23 with 3 years no claims, so not bad. But I've had to pay £1400 on a moded 1.4 clio a few years ago! and one firm quoted £3500 for the same motor!
sorry alburglar, how old are you now with ur Zcar mini??

i cant see why im being quoted so much then, do you think its simply the lack of no claims bonus?? or because when he said will it be a 2nd car i said no.24
