Window Regulator Putty?

Hi guys,
I know that dum dum putty is no longer available and frost sell an alternative, but I was just wondering if anybody has used plumbers mait to seal the window regulators to the doors?

I use RTV sealant. Probably provides a better seal.

I've not used plumbers putty myself.
I used the putty you get for mounting cooker jobs into worktop. It comes in strips of 5 or 6 and about half a meter long. I got my last lot of eBay
