I don't know how many people know but the 16v Mini forum is down due to the host, 123 accidently deleting it.

http://www.bbc.co.uk...nology-36072240

As you can imagine there are a lot of people on there with stacks of information and photo's which could be lost for ever.

They are trying to recover it but after almost a week now this doesn't look hopeful. :(

Can whoever is admin on here make sure it's regularly backed up to prevent this happening on here too.

This is bad news. I also was wondering what happened. Hopefully they get their data back.

So much info, hopefully not all lost

I've been a member for over ten years, while I've been "getting around" to another mini...

TotalMINI forum lost all their data a couple of years back with no host backup and the forum never fully recovered.......also the Mini Cooper Register forum had problems and was offline for so long that it lost most of the membership and is pretty quiet even today with no easy way of accessing the old forum information and posts.

It's back on as stated, but it's only backed up from Feb 2015.

So new members aren't registered and anyone who has changed their password needs to remember the one from that date or cannot log in.

Some new members have lost everything.

For me my buid is still there but just lost last years worth of "fun". :(

Not such a shame in my opinion, that forum has plenty of 100% idiots on it, so long and good by.

Definitely no idiots on this forum.

At least they don't piss their pants if you fit a flip front.
