Does anyone have this kit and does it make much difference to ride and handling?

Some links which may help in these old threads:-

History lesson-
"Alex Moulton is the man who originally designed the Mini suspension, both rubber cone and Hydrolastic. The rubber cones were actually just a short term measure to use while the Hydrolastic was being developed. Then when they decided Hydro was too expensive and ditched it they went back to the original rubber cones which had been designed in a hurry and were somewhat of a compromise. Moulton tried for many years to get Rover to switch to a new design of cone for the front but they ignored him. This kit supplies the system he would have preffered to fit and makes a radical change to the ride comfort and harshness in the suspension. The kit is only available from Mini Sport and requires specialist setting up of the suspension after fitting at any good garage. Don't fit adjustable or neg camber parts to the front with this kit, it's designed around standard components."

This kit is good at getting a comfortable ride, but don't get it if you want the car to be lower than the standard height. These cones are softer and need more suspension travel than the standard cones.

From what i remember the change is not "radical". Although its hard to tell as any new cones are going to be better than old ones.
Would i bother with them again?...no, i need to do my latest mini soon and will be keeping it standard.

Strange I used the search facility first and got nothing. Maybe I did something wrong.

Got them on mine at the moment, you'll need hi-los as they won't fit with the standard trumpets.

Bumps are a bit softer, especially over speed bumps. However there is slightly more lean in the corners and you can feel a bit more "flex" in the steering if you turn quickly in a corner.

Overall the change isn't massive, if you're not fussed about perfect handling round corners and sick of the harshness over large bumps then I'd say it's worth trying. Can always swap back to normal cones if you don't like it.

I usually find it easier to find old threads by using 'key words' and 'Mini Forum' in a Google search.
