Mini City 1990

Hi all, have had on the odd occasion that when i have the radio on and i either activate the full beams or indicators the radio will turn off and the back on again (no menu loss on the radio) and the indicators will fail to work for a few seconds. This only happens now and again but more recently the last week or so, i havent touched any of the wires apart from when i fitted the radio a year or so ago.

Can anyone point me in the direction of where to look, or might what be causing this? if i take off the front of the radio the indicators and full beams work fine.

rest of electrics work as they should

Bad connection or a high resistance on the circuit somewhere, pointer is those circuits fail and then slowly come back as you describe

Have a quick look where the take off for a live lead is for the radio,Previous owner might have just sourced a LIVE with ignition on and tapped into that.
