Hi there, could somebody please help, just started putting a mini pick-up back together after getting the car back from the paint shop, i have got the two parts of the loom back in the car and have found that when i fitted the bulb holders for the instrument panel cannot get the bulbs to light up when fitted to the clock, if i pull the holder out from the case and earth it on the bulkhead it will light up, but if fitted with the claws into the clock it will not seem to get an earth connection, anybody have any idea, Cheers,

Paul.

Have you earthed the speedo head, just run a black wire from the speedo to any good ground. The metal parcel shelf will do.

all the best.

There should be a threaded stud on the back of the speedometer.  Run a black wire from that post to an earthing spot on the truck's chassis.  There should be a few existing screws on the bulkhead that can be used.
