just after some opinions if this is acceptable/good practice.

basically re-building the carb and wanted to add a fuel filter. due to the filter i bought being quite large and the new pipe being quite stiff i've run a big loop of pipe up past the servo bracket and then back towards the carb. basically its an attempt to position the filter away from the exhaust and not in the way of the fuse-box and clutch reservoir. i also thought it would be good to have a down hill run from the filter to carb.

is it safe ? is it too much ?? should i get a smaller filter ???

opinions please :proud:

Lots of moving parts there.

Is that attached to the pump or to some metal pipe?

I would reroute to the other side of the engine bay.

Do you have a mechanical or electric fuel pump? Would it be better to fit the filter under the rear subframe?

Likewise, run the pipe from the pump up the LH engine bay and fix the fuel filter to the bulkhead  between the wiper motor and carb, then from the filter you can run a loop round behind the carb to the fuel inlet...

If you need, re-purpose the metal pipe from pump to carb to give you some elbows / U turns...

Fuel pump is mechanical. Filter is plastic so thought it best in the engine bay.i have a short rubber pipe on the pump, then a metal straight past the back of the carb, then the rubber loop and filter. i guess the fact that im asking means im not happy with it. Thanks for the ideas. Will try putting the filter on the other side of the baulkhead.
