A huge thanks to all the organisers of this years Thistle Run it all went like clock work.

Well chuffed that the car won a 2nd place prize in it's age group

and to top things off the weather was fantastic.

Had to head away sharp as I am on night shift 12 hours of hell ( forgot it's double time working into a public holiday so its a bit more bearable)

We even had a mini dressed in bling!! what a job to clean.

To all the Thistle run's hope you had a great day.

Don

Life is never simple and when it comes to cars this is so true?

The Charger was not fitted yesterday due to a small crack in  the manifold which had to go off to the alloy welder to get fixed, its back this morning looking good.

It's like a different car in some ways
Enjoying my holiday in Spain at the moment. On my return the CAT gets cut out and a new air filter as the dyno guy felt it's being hugely restricted by these items.
It has increased the running temperature of the car, will need to run it for a while to get the feel if it needs more cooling air in.

From what I was told John ( the builder ) had borrowed an exhaust with Cat from zcars for the IVA.

Since it did not have a cat when I purchased it asked zcars to fit one, found out yesterday that I was well overcharged ( that's life) could have had 2 fitted for the price they charged me.

As for friends driving it one is now too fat to get over the door bars!!!! he used to rally an imp back in the day and the other car nut is 6foot plus so he had been told he is too tall !!!!!

and that's my excuse.

Help needed broken front anti roll bar link on driver side.

Does anyone know who the supplier was ?

Could insert a sleeve and weld up but me thinks that would change the handling on one side? or will it be so minimal you won't notice.

Thanks in advance

From what I know its a Zcars supplied part. I don't think there's a great amount of science behind the rigid part of the ARB as the flex is taken up in the blade part which will have a specific poundage to it (I asked ages ago but they were not forthcoming with the information on it). If its anything like the one I have (looks identical) then the blade end probably has an amount of play in it due it not being a great fit in the circular hollow section used to make the bar. If you've got play and If you can afford to then I'd get a new one made that has a thicker sidewall and a better machined end that the blade goes into, even consider getting a grub screw fitting on the side to stop the blade from twisting round (mine does this all the time).

If there's no play and no twist add an interference fit section internally and weld it back together.......

About your charger, I kept meaning to ask if you went to a colder spark plug? I believe you need 8'S........should have 7's in standard form.

The plugs were changed to 8's along with the 4bar hondata map sensor.

Awaiting some new hoses for the upgraded air filter.
